Carnipure is the purest form of Carnitine and is both heat and pH stable. Ingredients: CarnipureTM *** 1,100 mg ** (L-Carnitine), Pantothenic Acid 10 mg  (as calcium pantothenate) Purified water, glycerin, hydroxy-citric acid, natural flavors, citric acid, and sodium benzoateL-carnitine's role in fat metabolism can be easily summarized: Carnipure turns stored fat into energy.More precisely, L-carnitine is essential for transporting long-chain fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, for subsequent fat breakdown and energy generationAdditional Health BenefitsDue to its fundamental role in energy metabolism, L-carnitine is typically used by the body to support functions that have a high energy demand. In this sense, L-carnitine supplementation plays a role in heart health, male fertility, healthy aging, as well as for infants, pregnant women, and vegetarians.Carnipure: EnergyCarnipure L-Carnitine is the nutrient needed to help support the conversion of fat into metabolic energy. Studies suggest Carnipure L-Carnitine can be used to sustain energy, as its main metabolic function is to transport long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondrial matrix for beta-oxidation.   Our Research Reviews In the latest study, the scientists measured levels of LAC (acetyl-L-carnitine) in blood samples taken from people diagnosed with MDD. They found that levels were significantly decreased in these patients, as compared to age-matched individuals without depression. Additional analysis revealed that patients with very low LAC exhibited more severe depression and were more likely to develop MDD early in life. Finally, the researchers found that decreased LAC was associated with having a history of childhood trauma and treatment-resistant depression, particularly in women. #acetyllcarnitine #depression #supplement Carla Nasca, Benedetta Bigio, Francis S. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2018; 201801609 DOI: 10.1073/pnas.1801609115   How does L-carnitine maintain the normal structure of sciatic nerve in crush injury? - Several studies have demonstrated that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on injured sciatic nerve of rats with diabetes mellitus. Dr. Ümmü Zeynep Avsar, Faculty of Medicine, Ataturk University, Turkey and his team proposed a hypothesis that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on injured sciatic nerve of rats. Rat sciatic nerve was crush injured by a forceps and exhibited degenerative changes. After intragastric administration of 50 and 100 mg/kg L-carnitine for 30 days, axon area, myelin sheath area, axon diameter, myelin sheath diameter, and numerical density of the myelinated axons of injured sciatic nerve were similar to normal, and the function of injured sciatic nerve also improved significantly. These findings suggest that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on sciatic nerve crush injury in rats. This paper was published in Neural Regeneration Research (Vol. 9, No. 10, 2014).
